Heidi McGill, LCPC

Practice Owner
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
EMDR Therapist

Heidi is passionate about nurturing a counseling practice where therapists care deeply about the wellbeing and best interests of their clients. With over 25 years of experience as a LCPC, her commitment to walking alongside people through their healing process with the utmost care and respect has only deepened.

Primarily working with adults who are healing from trauma, Heidi understands the overwhelm and exhaustion that often comes with being stuck in the unsupportive, negative response loop of trauma. She leverages a number of highly effective therapeutic modalities to help people live in the now instead of the past. Through her 14 years of using EMDR with clients, she has seen people reprocess traumas much quicker than talk therapy and with less triggers. Our brains are amazing processors, and EMDR leverages the brain's ability to change how we think and feel about the traumas we carry.

In addition to working with adults with trauma, Heidi specializes in working with adults experiencing life transition or are simply seeking personal growth. She thinks about therapy as an opportunity to find your strengths and to learn new ways of thinking and behaving that change the way you live for the better. As a therapist, she helps people access their own power within to change and live a healthier, more satisfied life.

Aside from work, Heidi keeps up with the busyness of life, family and friends. One of her greatest joys is gardening, where she can slow things down, get out of her head, get her hands dirty, smell the earth, and find peace. The reward of growing delicious food for her family and friends is pretty great, too.
