Therapeutic Approaches

Each therapist has their own unique blend of approaches they can offer. Together you'll explore approaches to find your best treatment.

Top Approaches We Utilize

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain through bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements). EMDR therapy can help individuals reduce or eliminate the symptoms of PTSD, such as anxiety, depression, and flashbacks. For many clients, EMDR therapy can be completed in fewer sessions than other psychotherapies.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is designed to change negative patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving using techniques such as cognitive restructuring, exposure therapy, and problem solving. CBT has been found to be effective in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, and PTSD.

Person Centered Therapy

Person-Centered Therapy emphasizes the therapist's unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness toward the client. It considers the client’s own capacity for self-understanding and growth - and provides a safe non-judgemental space for them to explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences. Person-Centered Therapy has been shown to be effective in fostering self-acceptance, enhancing self-esteem, and promoting personal empowerment.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness involves the practice of being fully present and aware of the present moment without judgment. These techniques often include meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful awareness of thoughts and sensations. Mindfulness techniques have shown to be effective in reducing stress, managing anxiety, alleviating symptoms of depression, and improving overall mental wellbeing.
