Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I strive to help you live your best life. I know what it's like to struggle with mental health and how hard it can be. I see myself as a companion and facilitator and not as the one in charge. I want to meet you where you are and help you make informed decisions about your mental health based on the most current research and evidence based treatments. I understand that mental health is not just a chemical imbalance. It is affected by sleep, exercise, diet and nutrition, stress, life satisfaction, and making sure your fundamental needs are best. That's why I take a whole-person or holistic approach to medicine.
I pull my experience and knowledge from a decade of experience working in a wide variety of settings that range from community mental health all the way up to psychiatric inpatient hospitals and everything in between. I treat just about every mental health concern but my passions lie in treating trauma, OCD, neuro-spicy individuals, and perinatal mental health. I like to say that, like Legos, I'm good for kids aged 6-99 and treat all walks of life. I believe in gender affirming care and do my best to provide a safe and nurturing environment for everyone, regardless of your gender identity, sexual preference, skin color, creed, or religion.
I offer an alternative to traditional psychiatric settings and try my best to be warm, compassionate, and empathetic. I never wear a lab coat, I'll never look at you like a bug under a microscope, and I will always listen.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, engaging with Geek Culture, and improving my own mental health.
