Amy Huang, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
EMDR Therapist
As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and relaxed space for clients to explore themselves with curiosity and self compassion. Respecting that each client is the authority on their own experiences, I'm here to employ therapeutic approaches to support their unique healing journey. I often help clients develop coping skills, self awareness, effective communication strategies, and emotional agility.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, considering both an individual's unique circumstances and community or environmental factors that impact wellbeing. I believe that therapy should not feel scary or overwhelming. Rather you can expect to laugh sometimes, develop trust in yourself, and feel glimpses of relief and inner peace.
I have experience working with teens age 15+, college students, and adults in a variety of clinical counseling settings, including residential treatment centers, private practice, and community mental health settings.
In my free time, I enjoy walking in nature at local and state parks. Being out in nature brings me great joy, peace, and calm.
